Florence residents can haul unwanted household junk, old computers and confidential paperwork to the city's Public Services Maintenance Facility starting Monday, Oct. 5.

The annual Fall Clean Up Week runs through Sunday, Oct. 11 at 7850 Tanners Lane, Florence, KY 41042. The city posted details on its website and distributed a press release on Monday, Sept. 28. The City of Florence also promoted the event on its official X account the same day, reminding residents that proof of residency is required.

The drop-off is open to Florence residents only. Bring proof of residency.

Hours

The Tanners Lane facility will accept items all seven days of the cleanup week.

  • Monday through Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

What's accepted

General household debris is welcome, along with two specialty services running during the same week. Tri State Escrap will accept computer and electronic equipment for recycling. Shred-It will take confidential documents for secure destruction.

Residents clearing out garages, basements or home offices can handle multiple categories in a single trip.

What's not accepted

The city will not take tires, non-rechargeable batteries, oil, liquid paint, antifreeze, insecticides, pesticides, fungicides or other hazardous waste.
