Boone County voters can meet 31 candidates face to face on Thursday, Oct. 8, at a free public forum in Burlington.
Northern Kentucky news organization Link NKY is hosting the event from 5 to 7 p.m. in Meeting Room A at the Burlington/Main Branch of the Boone County Public Library, 1786 Burlington Pike. Free parking is available in the public lot.
The meet-and-greet gives residents a chance to talk directly with candidates running in the Nov. 3 general election. Link NKY said the events let voters speak one-on-one with candidates at every level of government about the issues that matter to them.
As of Wednesday, Sept. 30, 31 candidates had registered for the Boone County event. That number could grow before Oct. 8. Link NKY has not specified which races or levels of government those candidates represent.
The Burlington forum is the final stop in a three-county series. Link NKY holds a Kenton County event on Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Erlanger Branch Library, where nearly 70 candidates registered. A Campbell County event is set for Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Newport Branch of the Campbell County Public Library, with 39 candidates registered.
