Travelers at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Hebron will get a new low-cost option to one of the region's most popular vacation destinations. Allegiant Airlines announced Aug. 17, a year-round nonstop route from CVG to Orlando International Airport, with service beginning Feb. 12, 2027.
Introductory one-way fares started at $49, though the promotional window closed Aug. 15. Current pricing is available at Allegiant.com.
The Orlando route is part of a broader Allegiant expansion of nine new nonstop routes to Florida destinations, all launching in February 2027, according to the NKY Tribune. Seven of those routes are hyper-seasonal spring offerings. The CVG-Orlando flight is the only one designated year-round.
"Orlando is consistently one of the most popular travel destinations from our region and we're pleased that Allegiant continues to expand its service at CVG with this new flight option," CVG Airport Board Chair Chad Summe said in the announcement.
Summe noted that Allegiant hit 10 million customers served at CVG in summer 2026, a milestone for an airline that launched at the Hebron airport more than a decade ago. With the Orlando addition, Allegiant now flies nonstop to 23 destinations from CVG.
Allegiant Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells said the new route reflects the flexibility of the carrier's business model, allowing it to respond to traveler demand. Allegiant focuses on connecting small and mid-size cities to popular leisure destinations with all-nonstop flights. The airline earned the No. 2 spot in The Wall Street Journal's annual airline rankings earlier in 2026.
The announcement follows a string of route wins at CVG. United Airlines is launching daily nonstop service to San Francisco on Oct. 25, and the airport prepared for a surge of international visitors during the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament in August.
CVG Airport confirmed the new Allegiant route on its official X account on Aug. 17, calling Orlando "one of the region's most popular destinations."
