A 30,000-square-foot sports complex and brewpub called The Bend celebrates its grand opening Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1930 Conrad Lane in Burlington.
The $8 million facility sits on five acres of former airport land, the Cincinnati Business Courier first reported. The complex features indoor pickleball courts, indoor and outdoor soccer fields, a beer garden and rotating food trucks. The grand opening runs from 2 to 6 p.m. during the Taste of Hebron event.
Brad Trauth, a real estate developer and broker for Trauth Property Group, developed and founded the complex. Trauth acquired the Conrad Lane parcel from the airport in 2018 for $1, according to the Business Courier. Construction took about six months.
The project was originally scheduled to open in late summer 2026, according to an Eagle Country Online report in May. The October grand opening follows an earlier target of late summer 2026.
The complex bills itself as Northern Kentucky's first combined brewpub and sports facility. Its pickleball area, called Hawk's Court, offers open court bookings, leagues and group sessions. Soccer programming includes youth camps and training through a program called Upfield, plus adult leagues through Soccer at The Bend.
The facility features both indoor and outdoor pitches.
There is no general admission fee to visit, according to The Bend's website. Costs apply only for booking a court, joining a league or attending a ticketed event. Visitors can walk in and enjoy the beer garden and common areas without a reservation, though the venue recommends booking courts and checking availability in advance.
The outdoor beer garden area, which the venue calls "the Backyard," serves craft beer on tap alongside the rotating food truck lineup. The beer garden is open to all guests, whether they are playing sports or just stopping by.
The site sits along the CVG Loop Trail, giving cyclists and walkers direct access from the broader trail network near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The Bend welcomes guests of all ages.
