Florence residents have a full week to haul off unwanted debris starting Monday, Oct. 5.
The city's annual Fall Clean Up runs Oct. 5 through Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Public Services Maintenance Facility, 7850 Tanners Lane. The City of Florence announced the schedule on X on Monday, Sept. 14.
Drop-off hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. That means 12-hour weekday windows and 10-hour weekend windows across the full seven days.
Residents must bring proof of Florence residency to use the drop-off site.
An annual tradition
The Fall Clean Up returns each fall as part of the Florence Public Services Department's seasonal programs. Mayor Julie M. Aubuchon announced the 2024 edition at the Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, city council meeting, when the clean-up ran Oct. 14–20.
This year's event starts a week earlier in the month. The Tanners Lane facility, which serves as the city's public services maintenance hub, is the sole drop-off location.

The city has not published a list of accepted or prohibited materials for this year's clean-up. Residents with questions about what they can bring should call the Florence Public Services Department at 859-647-5416 before loading up.
