Boone County's Fiscal Court will consider a 37-acre rezoning request from Drees Company and a tax credit for KOI Superior Walls when it meets Aug. 11, at 8:30 a.m. in Burlington.

The agenda is packed.

The early-morning session, part of the court's summer schedule, takes place at the Boone County Administration Building, 2950 Washington St. Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore presides, with commissioners Cathy H. Flaig, Chet Hand and Jesse A. Brewer.

According to the posted agenda, the court will hold a first reading on Drees Company's request to rezone roughly 37 acres on the west side of North Bend Road, between Overlook Drive and Barbara Drive, from Suburban Residential Two to Suburban Residential Three. The properties at 2715 Overlook Drive and an adjacent parcel are owned by the Goodridge Family Partnership, Gwen Vice and Nancy Akins.

Also on first reading: an ordinance granting KOI Superior Walls an occupational license fee credit for new employees under the Kentucky Business Investment Program. The company was among the new employers contributing to Boone County's recent job growth.

The court will also take up a second reading of updated golf cart rules for the Rivers Pointe subdivision, advancing an ordinance that was introduced at the July 28 meeting.

Other agenda items include awarding the Safe Streets for All construction project on five county roads to RAM Construction Services, approving a property donation at Graves Road and KY 237 in Hebron, purchasing three dump trucks from Fyda Freightliner for snow operations, buying furniture for the new Emergency Management/Public Safety Communications Center building, purchasing a baler for the Recycling Center and updating the Northern Kentucky Solid Waste Management Area cooperative agreement.

Transportation Improvement District Board Chair Larry Brown is scheduled to deliver an update to the court.
