Two new 911 dispatchers and an updated golf cart ordinance for Rivers Pointe top the agenda when the Boone County Fiscal Court meets July 28, at 5:30 p.m. in Burlington.

County Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore will ask commissioners to approve the appointments of Matthew Noll and Savannah Eder as dispatchers at the Boone County Public Safety Communication Center. The hires continue a staffing push at the county's 911 center, which brought on dispatchers Noah Cropper in February and Colin Hollinsworth in May.

Moore will also seek approval to promote Megan Green to Police Social Worker – Lead in the Community Services and Programs Department.

Golf carts in Rivers Pointe

Commissioners will hear a first reading of an ordinance amendment governing golf cart use on designated streets in the Rivers Pointe Subdivision. The ordinance, originally enacted July 23, 2019, has been amended several times as new streets opened in the neighborhood. The most recent change was approved April 22, 2025.

Moore noted in 2021 that Rivers Pointe "is becoming a golf cart community, like some others in the county." A second reading at a future meeting is required before the latest amendment takes effect.

Water rescue and public safety

The agenda lists a contract award to Washington Marine for a boat dock at the Boone County Water Rescue Facility. No dollar amount was included. Separately, Moore will seek authorization to apply for a Kentucky State Homeland Security grant through the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security for the combined FY2025–FY2026 cycle.
