First Financial Bank begins accepting canned and nonperishable food donations at its Burlington and Hebron branches Thursday, Oct. 1.
The drive, first reported by the Northern Kentucky Tribune, runs through Friday, Oct. 30. Residents can drop items in marked bins at either location during regular hours. Covington and Edgewood branches are also participating.
It marks the fifth year the bank has organized the campaign. Last year's effort collected more than 9,800 items across First Financial's Midwestern footprint. More than 28,000 items have been donated since the drive began.
Roddell McCullough, First Financial's chief corporate responsibility officer, said the drive reflects the bank's commitment to supporting its neighbors.
After the drive ends, bank employees will choose local organizations to receive the collected food. The bank has not named which groups will be selected.
