Beechwood head coach Noel Rash hit 200 career wins Sept. 11, when the Tigers shut out Simon Kenton 41-0.

The milestone puts Rash in rare company. According to the KHSAA record book, he is the fifth Northern Kentucky coach to reach 200, joining Bob Schneider (343 wins, Newport Central Catholic), Owen Hauck (258, Highlands and Boone County), Dale Mueller (250, Highlands) and Lynn Ray (234, Covington Catholic).

Rash's career record now stands at 200-53 in his 19th season as a head coach. He is Beechwood's all-time winningest coach, having compiled a 193-46 record with eight state championships from 2006 to 2022.

After retiring following Beechwood's 2022 state title, Rash spent 2023 as a special consultant at Cincinnati St. Xavier. He served as an assistant coach and assistant principal at Holmes in 2024.

Then Dave Trosper, Conner's head coach of 18 years, died suddenly in June 2025 at age 55. Rash came out of retirement to lead the Cougars through a difficult season.

Conner went 4-7 in 2025 with mostly first-year starters. When Rash took the job that summer, he described his goal as "finding a long-term solution, whether that's with me or not," the NKy Tribune reported in December 2025. He stepped down after the season. Conner athletic director Jim Hicks praised Rash's willingness to guide the program through the transition.

Rash returned to Beechwood in May after Jay Volker stepped down as head coach. In a July interview with WCPO, Rash reflected on his return. "I love this place and I love these kids. … I'm very fortunate to be back here," he said.

He told the Cincinnati Enquirer in August he plans to coach Beechwood for a few more seasons and help develop the Tigers' youth program. Beechwood has won 18 state titles, most recently in 2024.

Conner, now coached by first-year head coach Chase Floyd, is 0-3 in 2026.
