Trick-or-treating in Boone County runs Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.

WLWT published the countywide schedule Oct. 7 as part of its regional trick-or-treat guide, compiled by reporter Matthew Dietz. The listing covers Boone County as a single entry, giving Florence, Union, Burlington and Hebron families the same two-hour window.

The City of Union separately confirmed the Oct. 31, 6-to-8 p.m. schedule on its official website. Florence, Burlington and Hebron have not yet issued separate announcements, though all fall within the county schedule.

Halloween events leading up to Oct. 31

Boone County Parks has several Halloween events before trick-or-treat night, according to its 2026 parks newsletter.

The Haunted House Building Contest is accepting entries through Saturday, Oct. 10. The free, all-ages contest asks participants to email photos of their creations to [email protected].

The Jack-O-Lantern Contest & Walk takes over the Boone County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. Families can walk an illuminated trail lined with carved jack-o-lanterns, take a hayride and pick up a sweet treat at the end. The event is free and open to all ages.

The City of Florence also announced a free Florence Community Band Halloween concert at the Boone County Main Public Library on Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.. Costumes are encouraged but optional. A specific date and time were not included in the city's announcement.
