The Northern Kentucky Independent District Board of Health's Executive Committee will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 12, at NKY Health's District Office, 8001 Veterans Memorial Drive, Florence, KY 41042.

The meeting is open to the public.

NKY Health posted the meeting notice on Aug. 6, as required by Kentucky's Open Meetings Act. No agenda has been published for the Aug. 12 session, and the notice does not specify what topics the committee will take up.

The Executive Committee meets between the full District Board of Health's quarterly sessions. The 21-member board sets policy for the entire health district, including approval of program plans, pay raises and department-wide budgets. Board members are appointed by the judge executives of Boone, Campbell, Grant and Kenton counties. NKY Health serves more than 400,000 residents across those four counties.

Jonathan Rich, a dentist, chairs the Executive Committee for fiscal year 2025-2026. Laura Pleiman, who serves as Boone County Judge Executive Gary Moore's designee, is vice chair. Judith Harrer is the immediate past chair. Boone County members Charles Kenner and Scott Spicher also sit on the committee. A Grant County seat representing Judge Executive Chuck Dills' designee is currently vacant.

Jennifer Mooney, who has led NKY Health as district director since October 2022, serves as secretary to the board without a vote.
