Drivers on I-275 West in Boone County will hit rolling roadblocks early Sunday morning as state crews install overhead utility wires.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans several rolling roadblocks between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, near mile marker 4.9, just west of Petersburg Road, also known as KY 20, LINK nky reported.
Each roadblock is expected to last about 15 minutes. Traffic on the affected stretch of I-275 West will be slowed but not fully stopped while crews work overhead.
Three nearby on-ramps may also see temporary delays during the roadblocks:
- North Bend Road (KY 237) on-ramp to I-275 East
- Terminal Drive (KY 212) on-ramp to I-275 West
- Mineola Pike (KY 3076) on-ramp to I-275 West
Local law enforcement officers will be on site to direct traffic. All work is expected to wrap up by 4:30 a.m.
KYTC advises drivers to use alternate routes or follow directions from officers on scene.
