Kids can golf for free year-round at SGN Golf's Crestview Hills facility, located at 2807 Town Center Blvd. The indoor simulator chain is running a Junior Golf Program across all 13 of its locations in the Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus, Ohio, markets.
During summer, Junior Hours run Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. In winter, the company shifts to a before-school schedule. Families must reserve a simulator bay online before arriving, and a supervising adult must accompany all junior players, according to a company press release dated July 1.
Each bay uses Trackman simulator technology, providing access to virtual courses, practice tools, and performance data. Standard rates for adult customers range from $20 to $40 per hour per bay, with up to five players sharing a single bay.
Waived fees for military and first responders
SGN Golf is also waiving its membership signup fee for active-duty military personnel, veterans, first responders, and medical professionals. Membership perks include discounted simulator rates and extended advance-booking windows, with additional seasonal benefits that vary by location.
CEO Drew Broderick said in the press release that the programs reflect the company's goal of making golf more accessible. He paraphrased the company's growth from a single facility in 2021 to 13 locations, saying the mission has stayed the same even as the footprint expanded.
"Offering free golf during Junior Hours gives young players consistent, year-round access to the best technology in the game," Broderick said. "Whether they are holding a club for the first time or working to compete at a higher level, we want junior golfers to have a place where they can play, practice and improve."
Local footprint
The Crestview Hills site is one of eight locations SGN Golf lists in its Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky cluster, according to the company's website. The others are in Mason, West Chester, Loveland, Lebanon, Hillsboro, Anderson, and Oakley in Ohio. The chain also operates locations in the Dayton and Columbus markets.
SGN Golf's model lets customers book a bay online, receive a secure access code, and play at any hour without staff on-site. A remote support team handles customer service and technical issues.
Both the junior program and the community hero signup waiver are ongoing, not limited-time promotions. Families and eligible members can check hours and sign up at www.sgngolf.com/junior-program.
