The Florence Y'alls' home league will rebrand as the National Association of Professional Baseball for 2027 and expand to 20 teams.
The Frontier League announced the changes Wednesday, Sept. 30, in a statement from Commissioner Steve Tahsler. The league is adding the Cleburne Railroaders and Kane County Cougars, bringing the total to 20 teams across the United States and Canada.
Both new clubs are owned by REV Entertainment, the sports and entertainment company of the Texas Rangers. REV already operates the Schaumburg Boomers, giving the company three teams in the rebranded league.
The Cougars spent nearly three decades as an affiliated Minor League Baseball franchise before joining the American Association in 2021. They went 54-45 and finished third in the American Association's Eastern Division last season. The Railroaders have played in the American Association since 2017.
"We are honored to welcome Cleburne and Kane County as our newest members," Tahsler said in the announcement. "Cleburne adds another MLB metropolitan market to our lineup in a location with a tremendous baseball history."
For Y'alls fans at Thomas More Stadium in Florence, the rebrand is not entirely new. The league unveiled the NAPB logo in Northern Kentucky during the 2026 All-Star Week, with Covington-based marketing firm BLDG overseeing the rollout.
Founded in 1993, the Frontier League is the oldest active independent professional baseball league in North America and an official MLB Partner League. It entered its 33rd season in 2026 with 18 teams before the expansion.
Sean Decker, president of REV Entertainment, said the transition presents new opportunities for the teams, players, fans and communities involved.
Division alignments and the 2027 schedule have not been announced. How the two new clubs slot into the league's divisions will determine whether the Y'alls see Cleburne or Kane County on their regular-season schedule.
