Florence made Frontier League history the week of July 14 when Thomas More Stadium hosted the 33rd Annual All-Star Game celebration, making the city the first market in the league's 33-year existence to host the event three times in 20 years.

Frontier League Commissioner Steve Tahsler shared that distinction at a Florence City Council meeting last summer when the hosting was announced. Representatives from all 18 league teams, spanning from Quebec City to Pearl, Mississippi, traveled to Florence for the multi-day festivities.

The schedule opened Monday, July 13, with a Media Day and Frontier League Awards Lunch. Tuesday, July 14, brought a Home Run Derby and Mascot Mania to the stadium. The Y'all Star Game capped the celebration Wednesday, July 15, with a 7:03 p.m. first pitch. The game was presented by meetNKY, the Northern Kentucky tourism organization.

Speaking before Tuesday's derby, General Manager Max Johnson told WKRC the event would bring significant activity to the local economy. "We're going to have over 300 out of town guests coming in, staying in Florence, showcasing Northern Kentucky, showing them that some of them are coming to the stadium for the first time," Johnson said.

Rooms at four local hotels were blocked off for the week to accommodate players, coaches, and league officials.

The Y'alls committed heavily to the hosting well before All-Star week arrived. The organization paused its annual Deck the Y'alls holiday light show in winter 2025-26, redirecting staff and resources toward stadium upgrades and event preparations. Johnson explained the decision in an October 2025 announcement, saying the team wanted to make the All-Star celebration "an unforgettable showcase for Florence and Northern Kentucky."

The franchise's predecessor, the Florence Freedom, hosted the All-Star Game in 2007 and 2016. Owner David DelBello told city council members that bringing the event back had been a longstanding goal for the organization.
