A 52-year-old Union man died after crashing his motorcycle into a utility pole on Burlington Pike in Florence early Sept. 7.
Troy Cherry lost control of his motorcycle near Cavalier Boulevard and struck a utility pole off the roadway, according to WLWT, citing Florence police. The single-vehicle crash was reported around 1:37 a.m.
Florence EMS transported Cherry to UC Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The Florence Police Department said alcohol may have been a contributing factor. The crash occurred on Labor Day, Eagle Country Online reported.
No other vehicles were involved.
