Ryle put seven goals on the board against Cooper in a 33rd District boys soccer matchup Sept. 10, cruising to a 7-2 victory.

The win adds to a strong September for the Raiders. Ryle had won seven straight through Sept. 6, a run that included a 2-1 win over then-No. 12 Covington Catholic on Sept. 4 at C.R. Borland Stadium in Union. That result, called early due to lightning with 29:33 remaining, snapped CovCath's 29-match unbeaten streak against 9th Region opponents, according to LINK nky. Ryle was ranked No. 20 at the time.

The Raiders' offense has spread the scoring around all season. Through the week ending Sept. 6, Danny Harding led the team with seven goals, according to a LINK nky team-of-the-week report. Preston Scott had five. Cooper Neace and Chase McCarthy each had four. Grant McCoy paced Ryle with seven assists, while Scott, Harding and Neace each added four.

On the defensive end, goalkeeper Andrew Stropko had recorded 32 saves across seven games through Sept. 6. Nicholas Heredia added 13 saves in five appearances. Each had posted a shutout.
