Boone County residents can register to vote at any Boone County Public Library branch on Sept. 15 as part of National Voter Registration Day.

The library announced the event on X, encouraging residents to visit any of its six locations to get registered ahead of the November election.

Three branches fall within the Florence, Burlington and Union area:

  • Florence Branch: 7425 U.S. 42, Florence
  • Main Library: 1786 Burlington Pike, Burlington
  • Scheben Branch: 8899 U.S. 42, Union

The Hebron, Walton and Petersburg branches are also participating. Hebron's branch is at 1863 North Bend Rd., the Walton Branch is at 13000 Towne Center Dr., and the Chapin Memorial Library in Petersburg is at 6517 Market St.

The library's announcement did not include a specific time window for the registration event. Regular branch hours on Tuesdays vary. The Florence and Scheben branches are open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the library's website. The Main Library in Burlington stays open until 9 p.m.

Kentucky's voter registration deadline for the Nov. 3 general election is Oct. 5. Residents who want to confirm their registration status or check eligibility can contact the Boone County Clerk's office or visit the Kentucky Secretary of State's website.
